MineLoom operates on a three-phase loop: experimentation in the Laboratory where you melt and combine base materials, wall construction on a 3x3 pixelated grid, and durability testing against seven increasingly powerful dwarven pickaxes.
The order of material combination determines the final alloy properties. Combining Uranium with Neon produces different results than Neon with Uranium. Each compound has three measurable characteristics: Strength affects pickaxe wear rate, Hardness determines hits required to break through, and Elasticity influences overall wall durability.
Combat mechanics create dynamic tension: walls have health points, pickaxes have damage and durability. Every strike reduces both values simultaneously. When a pickaxe shatters before breaking the wall, it converts to coins and the next tier pickaxe arrives. The cycle continues until a pickaxe destroys the wall. Stronger pickaxes yield higher coin rewards when broken.
Experiment with base elements by melting and mixing them in specific sequences. Every combination order matters. Vio+Arc produces different properties than Arc+Vio. Unlock new materials in the Lapidarium using coins earned from shattered pickaxes.
Build defensive structures using nine cubes arranged in a grid. Each cube displays the visual characteristics of your crafted alloy. Different material compositions create distinct pixelated patterns and color schemes. Your wall's appearance reflects its molecular structure.
Face wooden, stone, iron, steel, golden, diamond, and mythril pickaxes in ascending difficulty. Each tier has specific damage output and durability values. Wooden deals 10 damage with 50 durability. Mythril deals 600 damage with 3000 durability. Progressive difficulty ensures strategic depth.
Watch animated pickaxe strikes with visual impact effects. The wall shakes with every blow. Health bars for both wall and pickaxe update in real time showing exact damage dealt and durability remaining. Track the battle progress through precise numerical feedback.
Start with basic materials like Vio, Ver, Arc, and Sol. Use coins to unlock advanced elements: Ros costs 2500 to unlock, Azu costs 5000. More materials expand possible alloy combinations exponentially. Each new element opens dozens of experimental paths.
Every broken pickaxe converts to coins based on tier. Wooden rewards 50 coins, stone 150, iron 400, steel 1000, golden 2500, diamond 6000, mythril 15000. Higher risk defense attempts yield exponentially greater rewards when successful.
